
Vivi Letsou is a certified acupressure practitioner and yoga instructor.
In her Yoga classes she incorporates elements from many different traditions
(Tri-Yoga, Power Yoga, Ashtanga, and Iyengar) in teaching students
how to increase their strength, stamina and flexibility. Emphasis is
placed on breath, internal awareness, and joy--the joy of rediscovering
and rebuilding the "healthy mind in healthy body" that the
ancient Greeks talked about.
Born and raised in Greece, Vivi took up Yoga, zen meditation, and
massage 15 years ago, in a effort to survive the high stress of her
filmmaking career in the U.S. Today, still immersed in filmmaking,
Vivi draws special energy and creativity from helping people find their
own path to fitness, health, and well-being. Classes could be restorative
or energezing, easy or challenging, according to the students' needs.
Each class is based on either a flow of postures (asanas), or a series
of asanas targeting specific areas of the body.
As a massage therapist, Vivi practices Swedish, Shiatsu, a wonderful
chinese style called Tui Na, and accupressure therapy.
